After the feedback in the SF thread, I decided to bot this day while I was at work and had everything in the background closed, except BattleNet.exe in case the connection died and the bot needed to reconnect

I had also turned off auto-concede, which I didn't realize earlier would be an issue as I only had it set up to concede if the opponent had lethal

It looks like I was lucky early on, around rank 11-12, and so the win streaks propelled me up the ranks where I actually capped at 7 (previous season high was 8 and when I got home I was 9 with 4 stars, so I had hit 7 at some point today), but then the bot started to even out. Understandable, especially if it needs a little luck to hit 5. So now I'm in the same position as last month, where I was capping at 7, but again I will assume if the bot can hit 7 it can hit 5. I think the benefit of closing everything helped, because it's not hitting 100% cpu usage anymore so there is less data sync.

Something that occured to me - are people who are hitting 5 doing this overnight? During the day? Late evening? I can't run it overnight as the computer is in my room and the combination of the heat + sound would make it impossible to sleep. But I realized that running it during peak season in the evenings and weekends is probably hurting its chances

I'll run it again tomorrow and see what happens

I believe I was having better results between 11am and 11pm CEST on EU. But I don't think my sample is large enough to be really confident about that.

Thanks for all the love guys - After hitting rank 5 earlier this month with my Mid-range Shaman and then dropping back to rank 11 due testing - I also climbed back to rank 5 again with my Mid-range Hunter aswell.

Yesterday I gained from 8 to 5 in 50 games with 54% winrate. I bot from 0:00 to 7:00 in the night EU server.

Traditionally most people have said they do better at night but I'm starting to think it's only true when the meta has settled. I think when expansions hit there is such an influx of players trying out lots of random crap decks that daytime can be better based on my experience during old gods and this week of kara.

47% win rate today, up to rank 8 with 4 stars

Sucks that the one game I saw the bot attacked with both 2/2s from Highmane, then used Houndmaster and missed two damage. Like the 7th time I've seen this. And yet, somehow, the bot is capable of rank 5. Shrug. Don't know how much energy I should be investing at this point, until 5 is attained and then I can try to tweak some settings with new decks and start contributing

Hate to break it to you guys, but those midrange hunter settings aren't working out at all. I just set the bot to play without stopping for 8 hours and it couldn't get past rank 13. This was during night on EU.
Just to make it clear I double checked every option (disabled auto-concede and such). This is coming from an experienced botter since the age of Hearthcrawler with multiple rank 5 achievements.

Hey, you are not the only one here. I am botting since 1 year and trying alot of the decks mentioned here but i never got passed rank 6 (with a selfmade deck). Nevertheless which settings or which botting time. I am trying midrange hunter by Dre again this month, but stuck at rank 13 since 2 days.

I can attest to Dre midrange hunter works, but at the sametime I'm also experiencing what some of you guys who are stuck at rank 10-13. As for current season my standing with Dre midrange hunter is rank 5, 7 and 13 all 3 accounts on EU. All the midrange shaman decks I've tested only managed to obtain rank 10 this season.

I guess it is time to add a FAQ, so that people know what to expect.

Rank 5 is not guaranteed, but more likely to be achieved with the decks featured in this topic.

People should not expect consistency from a "midrange hunter" or "midrange shaman". These decks are very inconsistent even when played manually.

Let's be real guys, Mid-range hunter is a mid tier 2 deck. This means allot of decks are better then it, in addition i made the files for last season and told everyone i won't be making files till the new (karazhan) meta comes out.

Nevertheless, saying the deck is not working is not right, since we have 9 confirmed rank 5 with it this month. (including myself) and its just 2 weeks in. I fight only legendary players. Even Trump is just rank 6 yday. So what if it doesnt work FOR YOU:

- See what classes you fight most and lose most against and maybe swap out the card replacements listed in the deck.txt.
- It's likely that rank 15-10 has a whole different meta then rank 10-5 So maybe to reach 10 first you need another deck (see my mid-range or agro-shaman)
- Again, my midrange-SHAMAN got me and Blackoak (didnt report) and another dude to rank 5 in the first 3 days.
- Everything above 45% WILL rank you up in the long term
- Make sure you dont rope-out
- Check logs, WHY are you losing?
- Report misplays

Iam glad with the data you send, like "can't het passed rank 12" BUT its very very passive. Why don't you post winrate over time? a screen shot of the classes you are facing. A thing or 2 you tried yourself (IE changing decks) Allot of you just turn on the bot and complain if it doesnt reach rank 5. I'am no deckwizzard - I make those files due trial and error. When you post misplays, sepe looks into the AI and I look at my files what i can improve in the files for the deck.

Without exaggerating I reached rank 5 in EVERY season since the first project legendary AGES ago. some times it takes more then just turn the bot on. Test, report, test again, ask, post logs, post wr, post stats, contribute.

My bad for not posting sorry. And Dre's right this is a 2-way street you only get out what you put in. Even if you change one card and run a 100 games you can tell the community if your change works or not. (To give you an idea how much time I put into botting i have run over 2000 games this month already.)

@everyone
This months meta is so unstable at the moment, after checking other botting forums it seem that this is not just an issue for HR. I've had some really long win/lose streaks (15 wins / 13 lose). Until Kara is completed then these issue will continue in my opinion. Although I did get to rank 5 early this month (4 days) with Dre's Shaman but that was mainly due to luck (it currently hovers between ranks 10-7), hitting ranks 8-10 is the target this month. Next month once the meta has settled I'll be posting my decks & settings (if they hit rank 5). Good luck all :)

Joy's HR with Sepe's Silverfish. The default AI cant read the custom files (yet), and as it is has more misplays aswell.
