Meta late otcober

Hi guys, tempostorm presented a new meta report, just some information in here for my vision for november.

Tier 1.

In tier one we still see Mid-range Shaman on top. Altough it changed some cards in comparison to my version. For example the Fire Elementals are gone and the Flamewreated Faceless found its way back. Also the tech choise some os us used allready to take Bloodlust in is now in de standard deck. Also a ooze is in the list now. Barnes and rag is a still a tech choise against controll but are repaced by 2 Horseriders often. I will test some things ofc but i think my current list is still very good for the bot. The bloodlust might find it's way in though. I have to check it. But one thing is for sure. Midrange Shaman will still be the prefered deck for november.

In tier 1 we also see Malygos druid back in but this deck is not bottable.

Tier 2

Interesting changes in tier 2 since Secret hunter is the top tier 2 deck now. Hence at the start of november i will probably make the files for this deck from the base of my midrange hunter. Secret hunter and mid-range hunter are very simulair so i expect good results with this aswell. So basicly i will focus again on shaman and hunter in November. a quick view on the rest of the decks in tier 2:

- 4. Control warrior: Got me to rank 5 loong time ago, and i still think the bot has a high potential with this. Rly try this deck out! even without files at all.
- 5. Tempo mage: Tried it before, to much synergie cards for the bot in my opinion.
- 6. Token druid: Can work, has to be tried out. Very simulair to midrange druid which i has small succes with before.
- 7. Face hunter: It's back. Can very much work even without files, just set your settings.txt to face and try it out
- 8. Zoolock: This is accualy discard-zoolock. I dont see this work anytime soon.
- 9. Freeze mage: forget it
10. Dragon warrior: Has potential, one rank 5 this month aswell.
11. Malygos Rogue: forget it.

Tier 3, 4 and 5 iam not gonna mention. Focus on the top tiers. I would love to see some people try out on of the decks in tier 2. esp. 4 and 7 - maybe 6.

TLDR: My current mid-range shaman will hit rank 5 next month unchanged aswell without doubt - but please try some decks in tier 2 so we get some data from it.

i did some modifications to dre's deck somewhat slightly.
i added doomhammer. i also teched in an ooze
so far 60% win rate from 14-5 in 8 hours.
i dont think its about the end of the season that made the climb so quick. yesterday my win rate without teching in those 2 cards against hunter was about 30%. against mirror deck shaman was about 40%. 40% against zoolock. i was beating mage easily. (80%) 80% against warrior.
however you dont run into many mages.

hunters also caused me not to have a single win streak in 14 hours although the win rate was 52+%
currently 40% of the decks ive played against in the past 3 days are hunters 30% shamans.
just playing around those 2 would be very effective.

i think the difference this card makes is against other shamans as well as secret hunters.
so far im 70+% win rate(10+ games) over hunter and 60% over shamans. 100% over zoolock (5 games small sample size)
win rate against warrior, mage, and maybe other decks too might drop in win rate. however other decks almost never appear.

hope u guys find it helpful.

yes i used his mulligan and combo most of the cards remain the same. i wonder if i should add ooze to mulligan for hunter warrior and shaman not sure yet.

i realize ive been losing to a lot of non meta decks like dragon paladin and reno mage. not sure if those decks are favored or just luck of the draw.

ok today i realize that about 50% of decks, maybe because of lower ranks on another account, play a ton of control. approximately 50% of them play control. going to be a slow climb because its hard to tech against a huge variety.
so far on my other account 15 games, gone against cthun druid, cthun warrior, dragon control pala, everyfin pala, freeze mage, reno mage, renolock. thats a crap ton of control.... gdluck guys

well just played against a dragon druid... lost ofcourse.

@dre do you reckon swapping out something in the mid shaman for a harrison would be good for all these shammy, hunter and warrior weapons that are currently being used.

yup i agree its the same in US too. suddenly a ton of controls. from the 30 games my lower ranked account played, about 60% of them are control. i dont have rag so i teched in a sylv for them do make awkward trades,
and i dont know if you want to take a risk, but i removed both lightning bolts for flamewreathed and fire elemental. holding a lot better against control while going even with other mid range.

the thing is most mid range shaman decks you play against you basically just need AOE + removal for thunderbluff. controls have plenty of removal so the moment your thunderbluff is removed you got nothing left.
not to mention usually with thunderbluff you spend mana hero powering. after its removed suddenly you realize you're out of steam and then its over. i had success with argent horserider in the higher ranks but lower ranks against control it really doesnt do anything. even if you gain board control and burst them down to 10, the moment they have an answer to thunder bluff they'll quickly turn it around again. ive lost plenty of games with the opponent with 5-8hp.

controls can turn around their early game deficit pretty easily with AOE, removals and taunts so it made me reconsider the argent, lightning bolt and opt for board control in the mid game rather than the early.

well its just a temporary measure until i climb out of the control group.

other than losing to the more uncommon pure aggro like face hunter and pirate warrior, going against control was no longer a disastrous match up while pretty unchanged against midrange. i played against a justicar priest that stole my sylv, flamewreathed, fire elementals etc etc. i was watching the bot play, i almost shed a tear.

yea im already running 1 blood. the thing about that cheaper deck i doubt it played against aggro cuz the argent horserider would have gotten rekt.

coulda been better ive been observing the bot play. quite a few misplays im gonna send the logs now. not sure if its the new 124 or its been there all along. i dont know why quite a few instances decides to go face rather than clear board especially with huge threats like flamewaker or tunnel trogg etc etc.

124, i dont think i've seen that behavior in 123.7 unless lethal.

also i notice in 124, bot will re-equipt spirit claw when there is still 1 charge left just to fill mana, what a waste
