The logs says imp gang boss was 3/1 and the azure drake was 4/4, was that not true?

@nsiaonsaiosn - That's the HR data sync bug, Joy needs to fix it in HR. In that specific example it usually notices the slime after a while if there is enough time.

@Dre - speed=false is forced in all my builds.

@Elekid again - Thunderbluff Valiant is prioritized but it looks like the extreme face damage was valued more.

The bot might be able to properly placed units for flametongue and direwolf with really high maxwides like 30k. Can someone confirm? I saw it once so I can't confirm yet.

Turn 3, I don't think the bot recognises the egg has been silenced. Can you lower the value of abusive/PO+egg by a little bit if it's been silenced?

Turn 6, should send in both 1/1s then soulfire.

Turn 9, there should be a small penalty for attacking minions with img gangboss when the board is too full.

I should mention one thing. Understanding the cards you can draw from your deck isn't as important as playing around the cards in your opponent's deck.

Does anyone have the automatic switcher working? I have serval folders:

C:\Program Files\HearthRanger\ExternBot\Silverfish\Data\Hunter\Midrange Hunter
C:\Program Files\HearthRanger\ExternBot\Silverfish\Data\Shaman\Midrange Shaman
C:\Program Files\HearthRanger\ExternBot\Silverfish\Data\Warlock\ZooLock

etc with the files in them, but when i select for instance Zoolock to play with it never reaches to the zoolock folder to get the files from. It just uses the files allready in the Silverfish folder

Then i removed all custom files from the silverfish folder in the hope the bot will copy the right files from the folder, but then it just says mulligan not found / combo not found ect, and starts to mulligan and play without files.

Confused how this is working.

I followed install instructions, confirmed no other silver.exe/silver.dll, confirmed v122.5 via .exe properties, confirmed external process True, and a silver.exe console window opens when I start HR, first line is ...

...but when I select silver.dll in HR "Bot Control Option", the text to the right of the dropdown box says...

You can just sim a board where it misplayed and change the maxwide to see.

Make sure that the folder is named exactly the same as your deck. When it starts the first game it should tell you what the class and deck names are. Also try putting the config files into the class folder while you are getting it set up so that it is easier to tell if something is wrong with the deck name that is hard to see. I never checked case sensitivity (I think it depends on the underlying filesystem) but would recommend you just make it exactly the same capitalization to avoid any confusion.


@glurph - You have HR's .dll with my .exe, you need to reinstall it.

I even copied the names from my deck and pasted it for the folders to make sure. It doesnt even search for the maps... I did test this in practisemode though because i didnt want to fuck up in accual play. But i assume its active in practisemode aswell?

EDIT: It reads the files (tested in casual now) if its in the folder \Data\Hunter but NOT when they are in \Data\Hunter\Midrange Hunter (again i copied the name right of the deck there can be no mistake in spelling)

If HR is using silver.exe as an external process (per settings file), the .dll isn't used... correct?

Look in your Logging.txt file and try to searching for "deck" to try to double check that w/e you are copying matches what SF is searching for and there aren't some hidden characters or w/e. Then try opening currdeck.txt, put Midrange Hunter;hunter; and save it but keep notepad open because the file will erase every time, then run Silver.exe and see what it loads, and play around with it to try to see if you can load other deck;class; this way.

The .dll is always used for mulligan/settings/logging/interfacing with HR, the .exe just handles board sims when it's active which is the heavy processing.

Will do your tests but, yesterday I did the copying vise-verse aswell so, coping the name of the folder and pasting it in hearthstone as my deck name. I can allmost centainly exclude any misspelling, in the Rank 5 tread was also the problem with not reading his files from Data\Paladin\Secrets (asuming his deckname is Secrets) but it didnt work for him either

It didnt use mortal coil, because when you had used mortal coil you had 5 mana left. which u left u with only playing defender or tap + wolf

Your play would have resulted in: 2/2 with taunt (with 1/1 spawn deathrattle) + defender + one card extra in hand. Enemy board cleared. and 1 mana lost. (ending with 1/6)
Or even more likely it will cause to play wolf + tap so u end up with:
2/1 (with 1/1 spawn deathrattle) + 2/2 wolf + 2 extra cards. Enemy board cleared and 1 mana lost (ending with 1/6)


The bot's play was more value (if you count the defender on the right place it would have resulted in:
1/1 with taunt, defender +1 dmg, 2/2 with taunt, enemy board cleared, and all mana spend. (this was when dender was in pos 2)

Even with defender in pos 3 it was better. Defender in pos 1 might be the worst place for defender in this case. But i personaly value it still higher over the mortal coil play because that would end up with 5 mana and result in mana loss and tempo loss. on a moment you didnt rly need the extra card.

Edit: Not recomended but if you rly want it, increasing the value of defender by 35 will cast coil + life tap + play wolf. But dunno how it will behave on plays where u want defender to be played.

@sepe: Nothing i do or change in settings when simming the turn will cause defender to be played in pos 2. Tried: aoe on/off. Settings to over 50.000 maxwide, all play modes (rush/face/mana/control) placemnt on/off

The bot never seems to want to use certain secrets, I don't know how representative this game is but I believe this is one where it just kept Redemption in hand and literally never used it. I could understand the logic of maybe holding onto an Avenge drawn on turn 4 or 5 with MC because it wants to get the 2nd off the MC and then have the one in hand for later on, but Redemption is a one of

In this one, I believe it's not casting Noble Sacrifice after Steward of Darkshire, which is one of the best interactions in the deck. This might not be the one, but I know I've seen it happen quite often.

The bot is currently 43% win rate, started at rank 12, now at 13 = / no way it's working properly if people are consistently hitting 5 and I can't maintain a 50% WR at 12. Sigh

Second edit: Just watched as it used Keeper of Uldaman on the 4/12 Ysera, then used the 6/6 Mysterious Challenger to clear out the 0/2 Healing Stream Totem, pass with Noble Sacrifice in hand and 4 mana crystals, so the enemy shaman could use Ancestral Spirit on the Ysera and then wipe the board, getting 2 of them. I think I'll just go back to 30 wins a day with zoo at a 50% win rate, at least that isn't 20 minutes of frustration watching missplay after missplay when everything is supposedly working.

Hey, you finally got setting switching to work! Do you know what you did to fix it for Dre and others to know?

I'll look into why it doesn't want to play secrets but FYI that deck list hasn't gotten much testing and could use some help with combos, it was just thrown in with the files for classic style secret pally although a couple people did well with it right after old gods launched...

Wrong log? Sounds like some micro-optimization that is never going to happen anyways...

Please cut down your reports to big blatant misplays, I don't have time to fix every tiny little thing and even if I did then changing the little things usually just causes other misplays to start occurring.
