Just wanted to say i ran my zoolock in quick play due some quest with a 85% winrate, anyone cares to try it out in ranked?

I used your settings, combo, mulligan and discovery and this variation:

- 1x Leeroy Jenkins
- 1x Soulfire
+ 2x Doomguard

I think the zoo deck settings are too heavy for my computer, can I use mid hunter settings?

If you're talking about Dre's or scottbreak's zoolock settings.txt, they used very heavy values for zoo. My zoo settings.txt is extremely light by comparison and doesn't choke on large boards as badly as theirs will.

I often use relatively settings because my pc can handle it easly. But in my guide (see op) I wrote a whole section how to lower the values in settings with the help of the generator

Well, I am quitting Hearthstone for good. It also goes without saying that I will be ceasing my activities on Hearthranger. I don't mean to demean anyone here but I must have my rant before I leave.

Hearthstone is slot machine pretentiously dressed up under the pseudo title of a "video game". The only thing that binds people to this game is the returning demands of daily quests and seasonal rewards. The game itself is appalling. It relies on these compelling incentives to keep players hooked and silent.

The game is flawed by design. As the skill ceiling for Hearthstone is abysmally low, the opportunities offered to outplay our opponents become more little and little as we rank up. This makes ranking up a crucible of endurance as opposed to any trial of skill. The fact that we have decided to automate this process through botting is a further testament to this.

This game infuriates me too much more too often than it entertains me. There is definitely something wrong when working on decks for the bot is more fun than playing the game. Most of the game is just monotonously grinding our way through the ladder.

Meta is still inconsistent, 55% 33% back to 52% and back to 32% in 4 days. Hope it settles soon - can't do much about this.

@sad - don't be sad; I enjoy this game manual allot, botting is a whole different game for me. Yeah sometimes you lose 5 times in a row, but its the same for Overwatch or any other game. Don't get triggered. Take a break and go again.

@sadpwner: We can only get so frustrated wtih a videogame if we loved it before! So I would take up Dre's advice: Take a break and go again.

I thought I'd give the new Discolock a chance. Only settings from previous Zoolock, no combo/mulligan. Started at level 13, dropped to 15:

Played Zoo Ranked with 2xDark Iron Dwarf and Leeroy.
Not so good, makes misplays like not playing Possessed Villager after turn 1, 2 (maybe it makes sense to save for combo).
Also doesn't trade 1-1s to get a new 1-1 from Imp Gang Boss after boardclear.
Quite often does somewhat risky plays like relying on juggles from Knife Juggler.
It doesn't at least miss lethal, so that's good.

So until we have some new decks finalized, is the old version of midrange hunter still valid, or should I swap out some cards to put in some new Karazhan cards? If so, do I need to modify anything? Kindly Grandmother surely could deserve a spot, but it's not in any mulligan or combo file as they were obviously created before the adventure and there won't be updates until the new meta screenshot.

Using the old version I've peaked at 9 so far, but typically I'm around 13-12. This also happened in prior seasons but it feels different now due to not using any of the new cards.

I know Dre is using Aggro Shaman, but that seems to be just as inconsistent as this. However, I don't think Aggro Shaman even changed with the new cards as it didn't get anything that would go into that tight decklist

OK so yesterday I started using my own version of MidHunter with Dre's Mid Range Hunter settings and while I can say its working pretty good(started at 16 Im currently 10 with 65-70%wr and didn't even play for 4 hours) i noticed something awkward where the bot ignored flame imp and went for other 2/2 minions instead of the flame imp. I remember having to manually attack with 1 of the hounds it summoned and then it continued as normal but still was wondering if anyone happens to have seen the same bug?

Edit: Hit rank 9 1 star away from 8. XD just checked my deck tracker stats and its says 23-8 74%wr, 2.5 hours played

Take a break, try some other games out, and come back refreshed.

The other day someone mentioned Elder Scrolls Legends (card game based on the Elder Scrolls world) - maybe play that for a bit to get your mind off hearthstone. I'm actually planning to download it over the weekend and give it a whirl.

@Sad: I agree with you about the tilt of the game. Blizzard needs to make money, so they want their customers to keep coming back. That's why they "Release" the new adventures with new cards that change the game up, making you spend money or time on buying the new adventure and getting new cards. I totally agree with you. I have more fun building decks and trying to develop an "intelligent" bot than actually playing the game manually (because the game is rigged towards frustration at not having "cards").

It's OK to have fun building decks and bots. It's fun. At the end of the day, it's the journey, not the destination. Otherwise, you'll end up with every single Hearthstone card, a nearly unbeatable deck (that a few other people have because they also have all the cards), all the awards, rankings, etc. - and then you'll be bummed out, thinking there was some feeling or huge reward at the end of the rainbow. So, for all of you out there, bot (or play manually) and have fun! if you're not having fun, walk away and try something else. Maybe come back, maybe you don't. It's OK. Way to many people are getting depression these days which is absolutely hell on earth. So, please for all of you out there, have fun and enjoy the ride! Because at the end of the day, I've never met anyone who was on their deathbed asking for their car or a stack of money. They ask to see the people they love and they regret all the time they wasted not spending it with them.

So, have a great weekend and have fun!

Bob

Some fun facts for everyone who likes data. I did an analysis on the Jeweled Scarab 3-Card Discovery for Hunter. The results follow what others posted on Reddit last year. But what was really interesting, is to see how Blizzard is weighing the "discovery" to push a new meta. I started this tracking a week before Kaz was released, yet even with a week delay, Cloaked Huntress is #2 on list, showing it is being pushed hard.

Summary: results show that the Jeweled Scarab discovery cards are irregularly weighted towards the Class you are (eg Hunter Class). Additionally, certain cards in that class are unequally weighted and more likely to show. In other words, when you play Hunter and drop a Jeweled Scarab, expect to get an Infest, Cloaked Huntress or Desert Camel...

Here are the results so far (in spoiler):

Hope this data helps. Cheers!

@Dre - Does SF know how to use Silence on friendly minions?

Example: Dropping Eerie Statue and then dropping Spellbreaker so Eerie Statue can attack. Or, dropping Barnes, and then Spellbreaker to silence the summon to return it to normal size.

Thanks!
