perhaps your hardware or hearthranger.ini wrong or not optimized?

in my case ryzon 2600x with 16 gig ram

Bot Config:
editing the HearthRanger.ini file to add the following for example:

[VICPU]
CPUNumber=4 (your computer cpu number)
ThreadPerCPU=8 (your computer thead num)
CriticalWaitTime=3000
CalcMaxDepth=15

Hey guys, do I need to update the script every patch? I downloaded the Dragon Hunter deck ID and script last month and i'm not sure if i'm meant to update the file or something...?

I have this in my config file now, but it still does not perform any better.

Perhaps your other ini files dont load well.....


you have to put the files in custom config and edit deck_config.ini
as you name it ingame.......

f.ex

Demon Hunter name Ingame
demon_hunter folder name

in my case

[CONFIGS]
Demon Hunter = demon_hunter
Dragon Hunter = dragon_hunter

When haerthranger starts it will show you if it loeds the correct file for your deck

do you get these right showing of loading the config ?


you say not performing better....whats the stats currently ?

It loads, I have it in the correct folder.

I have an i5-3570K CPU @ 3,40GHz, 8GB RAM. Should be sufficient to run the bot, I hope.

Current stats right now as I just reset and switched decks is 9-12, so 42,86% win rate. Might be luck, might be the deck, but still better than the dragon_hunter I tried, which ended at 21% after 100 or so games.

The bot does not handle weapons good at all, or the Shadowhoof Slayer, it almost always forgets to hero power when it already has attack. Is this something that can be looked at? I have also noticed that it often attacks a 2 health minion with 1 attack, leaving it up with 1 health. Sometimes it follows up with Glaivebound Adept minion, overkilling it for 3, which makes the hero attack pointless and sometimes it leaves the minion up, which also makes it pointless.

These are the 2 biggest faults I have seen it consistently do lately.

Unfortunately it looks like it didn't save the review file for the first fight I started before going to bed but I have a link from HDT, have a little look at my last turn, attacking into a 2/2, taking 2 damage needlessly, leaving it up and it seems giving the opponent exact lethal the next turn: https://hsreplay.net/rep.../9g7gdiBuRwNgL6JVJJMtUV

And btw, does it rename the review files opposite? I mean, according to HDT I won the fights that says loss at the end and lost the ones that are named win, seems odd. After starting the bot before I went to bed, it saved 38 fights only, but played 60, does it not save every one?

I did not understand what you ment at all, sorry. I'm just trying to provide information in order to make the bot better, and it seems like the handling of weapons/attack power on the hero is a big draw back right now.

Joyadmin is the programmer of Hearthranger, he can probaply fix that , thats what i meant with Joy.... and Post him the case

You cant fix that with config files just a polite hint not more not less......

I don't know how to fix it, if it is config files or core changes in the bot, I'm just trying to provide input. Don't want to message anyone directly, but thanks for the tip. :)

Hey man, first, just wanted to say, thank you!! Got the golden hero in no time :D

Great job with the demon hunter configs, the bot plays generally pretty well, with a few exceptions. It doesn't always make the best decisions, but i don't think there's anything that can be done there. In terms of obvious misplays, they are very rare, with a few exceptions. Got a 40% winrate, but in legend, so that's very good for me.

About those exceptions, i see the exact same mistakes as the guy above me. The bot really has some bad interactions with hero attacks. Weapons, hero power, twin slice.

It always seem to confuse him which one to use. Things like turn 1, twin slice face, no hero power, pass (mana unspent).

I don't have the configs, because i deactivated the savings game option. But if you need them , let me know and i'll gather a decent amount of them. You seem to have abondoned the project, that's why i'm not gathering them now

That is very weird, testing out the same Face Hunter deck and I'm getting 30% winrate. From observation it looks like it's not doing the muligan properly, it keeps muliganing away 1 drops.
