A ban wave is a sudden, immediate, wave of bans. Not spread out over time. Blizzard typically will flag accounts for several months and ban them all at once to limit the ability for the bot maker to determine what caused an account to be banned. There probably won't be any immediate bans for a few months.

I just would like to comment, iirc, the last ban wave happened YEARS ago, due the secret paladin craze.
There are 2 possibilities:
1) Blizz will start cracking down on bots and will do frequent banwaves.
2) People not banned are in the clear for a few more years.

I was banned as well. Curious is that I haven't been using the bot in the last year or so.

You (Throwaway) got a personal ban after your posts on public Hearthstone forums(Reddit and BNet forums).
Why did you publicly brag of the golden heroes? Why did you argue with reddit moderators? Half of them are from the "Team 5" (blizzard HS developers), they see your reddit IP where you publicly boast about easy(bot) gold mining. Why do it at public forums(Reddit, BNet forums)? Blizzard HS developers ("Team 5") read it every day.
OK, but NOT smart!

I still think the bans were not caused by bot detection. If it was the case, everyone who uses a bot would have been banned and blizzard wouldn't ban only from time to time. Another reason I think this is people who have more than 1 account and just some were banned. Again if it was bot detection it was easy even more being the same IP to ban them all. I still think they are mainly based on reports.

Yeah, that isn't me mate. If an admin wants they can check the IP logs and match my real username here which matches my Reddit username. I can't even remember the last time I visted Battle.net forums.
