Ok thanks :)

I'm new to hearthstone and hearthstone botting so I don't have much cards, only base decks (reached level 10 with every hero)

What should I do first?

Buy expansion or open new card package?

I'd like to do some ranked but it would be hard without a decent deck

Is there a _discovery.txt setting to tell the AI to NOT pick a card? I've tried setting negative numbers (e.g. -100) and zero, but it still chooses the card. My _discovery.txt and log snippet are in spoiler.



If we are not able to set it so AI won't choose the card, can we this to the next Silverfish rev?

I think there is a problem with Wicked Witchdoctor. The bot starts roping after i topdeck it. I noticed a lot of roping last night but couldn't find the reason. Now I watched it happen:

edit: last bits in logging.txt After that I drew Wicked Witchdoctor


edit 2: pretty sure it's the Wicked Witchdoctor because it happened again in the next game. First card I drew after mulligan: Instead of actually playing the Tunnel Trog it just ropes

Was playing Dre's Hunter and the opponent was mage. Opponent played Arcane Anomaly and then this happened.


Bot does nothing but rope and spam this text:

use extern bot best move A.I. -- silver.dll

extern bot best move A.I. error occurred.

error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

auto switch to use default a.i.

botplayer internal error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.


This also happened when i played against hunter and he used Kindly Grandmother.

It must be because of the new Karazhan cards...

I was able to modify the log to produce a crash but please check for a "crashlog" in your silverlogs folder (or maybe in the SF folder).

@FingerSkater - I need the last silverlog before it crashed and the crashlog if there is one.

Doomsayer error: Doomsayer is played by opponent. SF 1) does not kill doomsayer (it could have) and 2) places an infested wolf on the board.

Setting was on "Rush" instead of control. Log in Spoiler.

Hi, I don't know if this is silverfish related or not, but the bot (botplayer) seems to crash when a Karazhan card is played (on the enemy's board) such as Moroes or Barnes (namely got to see the bot having a "referencing" error, iirc) on those two occasions.

Could you please check if something is wrong with the carddb or does that have nothing to do with your silverfish? Thanks!

Edit: To be clear, the error was shown in the bot window ( ex: https://i.gyazo.com/3513...ca0e98e3432de4df94b.png ) so it might have nothing to do with your work.. sorry

If you don't have any logs at all in there then you're probably not even running SF.

I couldn't find the issue i was having with Karazhan cards in the log, so i decided to play against my other account which had a deck made with Karazhan cards to recreate that problem.

As you can see in the SilverLog, there's nothing happening after 7:39 but in tasklog there's some information about it.

Now... i'm not sure it's a "crash" because I can't find any crash log files.
But it sure does rope after one of the Karazhan minions are on board.

No crashlog files or anything in the console window when it happened? All I can think of is if you enabled networking then it is still unstable and randomly breaks. There's nothing of importance in those logs and mine has played against moroes and barnes several times so I doubt they are the problem.

Hmm... If the crash is reproducible for you then it could just be an installation problem like maybe you forgot the carddb or have another silverfish in externbot? Try backing up your current SF folder (outside the externbot folder!!!), delete everything in externbot, and then extract my 7zip to externbot and see if you still crash.

I tried reinstalling and the new 6.2.4.0 version with and without Sepefeets Silverfish but it still ropes because of the karazhan minons.
Oh well, i guess i'm gonna have to go manual to get to higher ranks.

Sorry, didn't know those existed. Guess you already have made them by now. There are 2 crashlogs left in my Silverfish directory: 1 and 2.

I can produce a lot of logfiles with my current deck if you have any needs for it Sepefeets. It's a Shaman deck containing Wicked Witchdoctor (high suspect considering my previous logs) and Maelstrom Portal (works fine in some other decks). Anytime I start using it it will start roping. All my other decks work fine so I guess there's only a problem if you have the cards in your own deck.

Logs of my last game were it starts roping again (no crashfile in my SF folder, as it doesn't crash):

Quite noobish question but, how do I know that the bot loads my _settings and _combo etc. I did a folder with the decks name into HearthRanger\ExternBot\Silverfish\Data\Warrior\. But all the Silver.exe tells me is

[Combo] cant find base _combo.txt, consider creating one
[Mulligan] cant find base _mulligan.txt, consider creating one
[Mulligan] cant find mulltest.txt (only for debugging mulligans)
[Discovery] cant find base _discovery.txt, consider creating one
[Settings] read Silverfish\settings.txt

Bot has problems with reading files from the deckname folder atm, please put the files in earlier folders so in;

HearthRanger\ExternBot\Silverfish\Data\Warrior

or just in the plain foldier (without creating data-folder)

HearthRanger\ExternBot\Silverfish
