Hello fam,

How do I tell the bot to not play brannbronzebeard and knife jugler without being in combo with other cards, I already wrote a combo list for brann however the bot continues to play the bran if you have on hand.
thkx in advance.
regards

Your combo's must not have enough penalty for playing them outside the penalty then. The number right after the name of the card is the penalty.

Turn 7 doesn't use its remaining 1 mana (should play flameimp).

Haha this one is quite funny

http://pastebin.com/GYnHzvKP

It gets an Astral Communion via a spellslinger and then casualy plays it on turn 4 right after. Discarding my very good cards and curve. Hunter is not designed to play Astral Communion. It totaly kills you accualy. Needless to say i added a cardvalue of 500 for Astral communuon after this play. What are the odds you would say xD

http://pastebin.com/yz7Aa18p

Posted this one a couple of times i think allready but. Coins out 2-drop then plays 1-drop on turn 2. Lost one mana, waste coin. Allot better to play on curve here. 1-drop on 1, 2-drop on 2. Will fix this in my combofile now. But i think its a nice fix for the AI in general. Like here http://pastebin.com/DWX39q3u it does it correctly hance i can coin out a tiger on turn 4. very stronk.

http://pastebin.com/n8S1KfCP

Turn 5, uses a 4/2 (huffer) to kill a 1/1 spider. way overkill. Iam playing on control, maybe: mana, will play this better but i think its a missplay by default even on control settings

SF can't really know when to play on curve vs when to use coin because it doesn't know what is in your deck that it could draw into to stay on curve next turn or not. Even if it did know or if it just guessed based on your current hand then we would probably need a huge list of conditions when to play it and when not to. It's probably not going to happen so keep fixing it in combos if you really need to stay on curve.

@xlegend - Experiment and find out. You can create a file called test.txt and paste the board that misplayed into it, then run silverfish.exe with all your config files in the base directory, then just keep rerunning the sim with a higher penalty until it stops misplaying. If you know that you never want brann played outside a combo then set the penalty to 500.

Hey, you finally got setting switching to work! Do you know what you did to fix it for Dre and others to know?

I'll look into why it doesn't want to play secrets but FYI that deck list hasn't gotten much testing and could use some help with combos, it was just thrown in with the files for classic style secret pally although a couple people did well with it right after old gods launched...

I had to copy those files into the base Silverfish folder, because it wasn't recognizing them from inside the class folder. I'm not sure why, because that's what the instructions said to do.

So should I just drop 4,000 gold and finish midrange hunter because that's what everyone else is hitting rank 5 with? Clearly I'll be missing it this month either way

The quoted log shows it was reading the deck settings, not base settings. Unless it was just confusion over the error at startup that doesn't matter once it loads the deck settings when a match starts...

A lot of people got r5 early this month but there is still 5 days left while ranking is at its easiest so you can still do it. I've been hitting a wall of random decks all month that are hard to counter queue against so I know the feeling.

On turn 2 it plays Hero-power instead of flame juggler. As earlier said i think the penalty for playing flame Juggler when the enemy has no minions is to high.

I allready have a cardvalue of 2 on heropower (cardvalue:DS1h_292,2) To fix a simulair thing before, i will simulate it tonight and maybe up the value but don't want to up it too much. Might lower the value of Flame juggler a bit, will test it out, since I dont want it to value over king's Elekk and Toad. I think its a general misplay to play hero power instead of the juggler there, hence this post xD (fixed with increading value of hero power from 2 (current) to 4.)

Other then that look at the curve in that game dayum... - 0 mana lost. totaly shredding the warrior on turn 8.

Edit: Next log I check i meet the excat same situation but vs Priest. and then it suddenly does play the juggler instead of hero power: http://pastebin.com/ZdaSnGcX

Edit 2: Think the penaly also causes the misplay here http://pastebin.com/ZHWAcf4z I can agree with coin flame + flame on 2. But not it coins flame and then plays a 1-drop on turn 2 instead of flame juggler. had to set flame jugglers value to -21 for this to play correctly, which iam not going to do because it will affect other plays to much / would be nice if the value of flamejuggler can be adjusted in the AI

http://pastebin.com/tX28uPfJ

Turn 8, attacks face with a 1/1 spider before playing call of the wild (would buff the spider)

So everything is working fine and the reason I'm not hitting rank 5 is that a) I'm not playing long enough, b) bad luck, c) the deck is not good in this meta?? I'm just having a hard time grasping that it's working properly when I'm seeing all these 'errors', real or not

Edit: Just watched one game and the bot doesn't seem to understand how to play around Sludge Belcher. It wasted 5 1/1s to kill it, rather than use Keeper on either a 1/1 or the Belcher, then it used it on my last remaining 1/1 but tried to attack face with the weapon, after the 1/2 spawned, and just kind of bugged out.

This is strange behavior, i've seen lots of missplays against sludge belcher before but they are fixed waay back. But I wanted to say, since you are fighting against Sludge belcher you are likely to play on wild-mode. I think all confirmed rank 5's are on standard-mode. Also i only make decks for standard mode, so you might want to swap to standard to hit rank 5.

I can't really know much about it without a log but even rank 5 decks make lots of misplays. Dre's right about Standard being the main focus for ranking,

@sepefeets Hi, it might be worth adding empty _combo.txt, _discovery.txt, _mulligan.txt to your git to stop the "can't find" error messages that you initially get when starting SF, just a thought :)

Need some help here.

Quote:
(625.2, 625.3) avoid playing reliquary seeker without 6 minions ((625.1) intentionally not fixed, use cardvalue to fully prevent early play)

How do I do this? Sorry for being a total noob.

Read my guide ;)

but adding this to your _combo.txt

Code:
// Cardvalue Reliquary Seeker (LOE_116)
cardvalue:LOE_116,15

and then increasing the nummer 15 higher and higher untill you think it plays it correctly.

@sepefeets

";hero:heroname" where heroname can be: hunter, priest, druid, warlock, thief, pala, warrior, shaman or mage

If you have a chance & it's not to much trouble would it be possible to fix thief > rogue & pala > paladin. I know it will cause a few issues initially (maybe support both for a period of time) but it's something I ask Botmaker to change a longtime ago :) Thanks in advance.

PS while I'm asking for stuff. I'm not sure combo can handle this as it stands maybe you could tell me. Say I want the bot to play [2] Fiery War Axe (CS2_106) on turn 2 with out coining it out using _combo.txt

// [FORCE] [2] Fiery War Axe (CS2_106)
CS2_106;mana:2

Hi Black! Sepe allready fixed the names a while ago u can now use pala or/and paladin and thief or/and rogue.

One turn combo's do work, see the examples in my guide. but quote from my guide:

Quote:

one turn, 1-card combo’s
Code:

// [Nudge] Force [6] Savannah Highmane (EX1_534)
EX1_534,0;mana:6;bonus:10;hero:hunter

When playing Hunter, on turn 6 (6 mana) this forces to play Savannah Highmane over other options by adding 10 value to the play

It's intentional to keep people aware that they have no base settings.

I haven't changed anything about how combos work so if that rule caused it to coin axe on turn 1 before then it probably still does. You can take a turn 1 board with coin, throw it in test.txt, and modify it to include a fiery war axe in hand cards to check.
