A general response to these types of "issues" you have to bear in mind that silverfish doesn't calculate all possible boards that would take for ever! But calculates a very small proportion probably in the region of only 2-3% (your settings can massively effect this) of the possible board combinations with 10 mana and 5 cards in hand. So if silverfish sees that as the best board then shit happens :(

@botmaker saying that, whereabouts do I find the default board value for each of the cards so I can adjust them using combo.txt? edit: also If I have more then one line in combo.txt for a card is the penalty added together or is it per combo line only?

it takes the biggest penalty.

@Dre the problem in your log was, that your opponent also had a secret active

Thanks for the feedback, assuming ita about the doomsayer situation. Do You advice to turn off playaroundsecrets? It still doesnt make sense the bot played sylvana for nothing then with the doomsayer alive. Expensive minion to check for mirror. I noticed more that the playaroundsecrets checks to hard for secrets. But when turned off. It can be even more dangerous...

My understanding of the way Blizzard are allowed to work is that only when you send a crash report do you send a list of processes. so make sure you don't send the report until you have killed off all bot related processes. Tell me if I'm wrong of course :)

Hi,

sf keeps playing AND boosting toons to table, even if enemy has played doomsayer on his side and no chance of removal. Happened against a freeze mage.

I'll edit in the logs if needed when on my main machine.

It seems there's no timestamp on posts in this forum so I'm hard pressed to go through all games performed within a couple of hours

Still, I cannot for the life of me see any reason when silverfish would find it beneficial to do what is said in the quote

Lesson learned, get the frickin logs when there's a chance

@botmaker on this point, would it be possible to add a switch like "silverfish.exe -log" to switch off logging. I would have said a setting in setting.txt but I feel you would benefit if everyone didn't turn this off as default. I want this for selfish reasons writing a log take valuable cycles that could be used to calculate another board :)

No one knows how their system of protection, so renaming bots *exe just a precaution.
HR use this random change name.

Mate its allot faster to use a progam like: https://www.mythicsoft.com/agentransack

Set it to "Look in" your logg folder and then search for doomsayer and it will give you only the loggs with doomsayer in it.

Example:

I would start with doubling up the values of the following in settings.txt:
Code:
maxwide = ????;
twotsamount = ????;
enemyTurnMaxWideSecondTime = ????;
enemyTurnMaxWide = ????;
enemySecondTurnMaxWide = ????;
nextTurnMaxWide = ????;
nextTurnTotalBoards = ????;
If you rope out a lot then reduce them, if not then keep increasing them the higher these values are the better the bot plays :)

As a rule or thumb set:
twotsamount at 20% of maxwide
enemyTurnMaxWide & enemySecondTurnMaxWide at 10% of enemyTurnMaxWideSecondTime
nextTurnTotalBoards at 20% of twotsamount
nextTurnMaxWide at 10% of nextTurnTotalBoards

On a personal note I will be buying myself a new machine for Christmas so I will be producing new numbers for settings once it's built :)

Sounds like you value Force of Nature more than the bot values keeping the board clear. Those kinds of values might vary by deck or player behavior. If you want to save FON for bigger value, try opening _combo.txt and adding the following line:

cardvalue:EX1_571,50

It's kind of hard to explain in one post how different boards are valued, but if you find the bot still uses FON to clear too much, you can turn it up from 50 to 100, but I think anything higher would be really bad.

I dunno if this is the right spot to report a misplay with silverfish, but last night I was watching the bot and I had 3 minions on my board against 1 shredder on the enemy side. The bot attacked face with my 2 minions e and killed shredder with the third, and then my opponent got a doomsayer from the deathrattle and I lost the advantage that I had :(

Does anyone know if is there a way to priorize atking the shredder? Like killing the shredder first then the bot makes the decision if it is better to kill the minion that came from the deathrattle or it is ok to go face or something else

thanks :)

Great point. Try to dig out the log from that play as per the instructions in the first post in this thread and I'm sure BotMaker will address it. Thanks.
