This is an example for a rule to avoid to attack a minion by name:

Any Card -20 GAIN FOR ATTACK AND TARGET enemy battlefield has card named $(Nerubian Egg) this minion has no $taunt

In a similar way you can put a rule to avoid to cast a area spell if a minion called XXXx is into the battlefield.

Anyway, IMHO is better play BRM by yourself. If you want to do a deck vs BRM last boss, don't play taunts or area spells.

Thanks! Sure enough I had finished BRM myself, bots are for grinding through tedious and repetitive gameplay, not for fun adventures. I was just wondering how the mechanics work, didn't notice the negative gain on the Nerubian. You need a rather fast deck for this boss, anyway, so a control ruleset might be generally uncalled for. But I was thinking about building a taunt-free control deck with little AoE, and see how HR deals with it. I find myself watching HR play through dozens of games and try to understand its decisions, so I would like to see that one, too. I'm gonna give it a shot and let you know in case it yields any results.

One problem: Cogmaster is attacking before playing a mech, could you fix this?

This rules have giant issues with Kel'Thuzad. It does not take his effect into account.

Ummm, I played a lot with Kel'thuzad (as you can see in my decks) and the bot handled it OK. I don't check the bot plays since a few time ago, so maybe it can be a problem on default AI itself. Do someone notice if the AI doesn't handle Kel'Thuzad?

To make the issue more precise, I have seen how my bot (using this rule-set) fire balled a minion and frost bolted another one to kill them off, instead of killing off Kel'Thuzad.
Obviously they came back so that the usage of 2 spells was just retarded.

Other than that my current control mage deck has 61.5% win rate using this rule-set.
Great work so far!

When i play my rogue deck 70% winrate/only rares and commons (with your rules :D) this happens:

I got coin
his first turn: abusive sergeant
my first turn: coin -> dager mastery -> attack abusive sergeant
his second turn: does nothing and ends turn
my second turn: bot does nothing and ends turn without refreshing dager mastery (dager mastery is 1/1) bot has still 2 mana left.


Also sometimes it refreshes dager mastery (dager mastery was 1/1) and THEN attacks instead of attack and then refresh.

These little things can cost you the game.

But verry good control rules.

this behaviour must be fixed by JoyAdmin. My rules are a filter for default Ai, so this kind of behaviour are missplays from default AI.

This Rule set shoud have Kezan Mystic and Harrison rules like this

Kezan Mystic 20 GAIN FOR CAST enemy hero has $secret
Kezan Mystic -5 GAIN FOR CAST enemy hero has no $secret

Harrison Jones 20 GAIN FOR CAST enemy hero has $weapon

I agree with you, but when you define -5 value, you must define heroes who can play weapons or secrets, because Kezan's ability is useless vs shaman, druis and so, and Harrison Jones is useless vs heroes without weapons

I will think about it and add the lines when I have some free time.

Bot makes some poor choices with Deaths Bite. =P Doesn't take into consideration 1 dmg to everything effect, ie, when opponent has 1 health minions or beneficial effects such as Grim Patron. Also the bot doesn't care about negative effects of the dmg on your minions. I imagine the rule set will be a nightmare considering their are so many combinations.

I cant force the bot to do that kind of plays. Death bite's effect behaviour must be improved into default AI.
