v.2.1.0.0 - Enhanced A.I.


* You must upgrade to this version due to hearthstone game client updated yesterday, old version bot does not work anymore.

- Now bot's A.I. is better than old version.

In case some players computer maybe slow, you can turn this feature off in [other option] panel.

- Some cards revised and bugs fixed.

- Bot is more stable than before.

- All GvG cards will be supported in next few days, before that Arena mode is broken since bot can't recognize GvG cards.

- Also we fixed the bug at server side that some users can't login during the open-beta stage.

How to update manually?

Start [Launcher.exe] at Hearthranger directory, then click [UPDATE] button.

When trying to start arena, it wont click the start button and when in a game of arena it gives me this error.

Read the original post, the bot is not supporting arena at the time being due to the GvG cards.

Why cant i minimize the client anymore?

i normaly would start the bot and play another game. i cant do that anymore

This happend to me from time to time, too. Seems like there are some issues reading the game cache.

Please double check if you have a deck selected in the options pannel.

If you do, try to stop the bot, open the play screen and start the bot again from this location.

The new A.I. makes really annoying mistakes taking a 60% win ratio down to 30% :

Priest with default logic :
- completely ignores Holy Nova, instead of using it on 3 3/2, 1/2, 1/1 minions it passes the turn to the enemy (not a single time, there was enough mana)
- completely ignores deal -2 damage on every turn (never plays them)
- could have won by attacking a 9 HP player with 4/5 minion + deal -5 damage when there is enough mana but instead puts a 3/3 tank and loses the game
- could have won by attacking a 3 HP player with 2/2 4/2 1/2 3/2 minions (the enemy were without minions) but decided to skip the turn and lost the game (hero HP were 2)

the algorithm taking decision to attack a minion is probably overriding the one to attack the hero, spell algorithm should see spells too.

All characters :
- the AI is spending too much time touching cards instead of playing them often missing time-out for turns.

With the new AI the bot regularly misses lethal. Seems like not counting damage on hand, only minion damage on board.
As a result he starts trading.

Example: 10 damage with minions, 15 opponent life, 6 damage in hand (hero power + deadly poison + wolfrider)
Another: 6 damage with minions, 7 opponent life, 1 damage in hand (shattered sun cleric)

Edit: Just saw the bot missing lethal with sufficient minion damage already on board. Went for trading ...

i was gonna say exactly the same as pm12345ay and jfxb ! bot miss lethal every time now and good explanation ! please fix this :(
also new cards from gvg that can already give webspinner put the bot in error
