I botted a lot of gold back in kotft days, I've returned, and I'm kinda spooked to read so many post saying they were banned? Is bot still safe

Probably safe. I played unranked and I have earned more then 70,000 gold (see a screenshot from a previous post). But I think playing for e.g. the golden heroes is more dangerous.

I've only botted casual wild with agro deck for gold, does that sound okay? I read a thread 8 months ago of many folks complaining of ban wave, I don't want to end up like that

You never know for sure. I am using HearthRanger for several years and never had a problem. To be honest, I would prefer unranked play only.

I don't understand how so many people in some of those threads complained of getting caught? I've gotten about 200 packs of gold and had no issues, it just kinda spooks me

i bottet long time....and got 2 of 3 acc`s banned.
but ..was massiv botting 24/7 ranked.

So would bottingquest and gold 5 days a week be okay? And would you do standard or wild
