So ban wave hit me too i had so much dust and gold it feels bad to get banned just before the expansion etc etc.I kinda feel relieved but i liked this game tbh.Do you think its possible to start over and get into the game again?I want to quit but a part of me wants to create a new acc keep botting and keep playing.What are your plans?Done for good?

As @WinXP said, botting had become a chore for many of us. After I got banned, rather than start over, I switched to an old account I had created to get Morgl.

I'm not even gonna bother trying to build a new collection.
It's enough to gather a bit of dust and craft a Golden Whizbang. It'll be fun trying to rank up with him. I also intend to play PvE content like Monster Hunt or Lethal Puzzles.
Who knows, maybe I'll even start playing arena.

The point is, this is a GAME. We should be having fun, not grinding gold every single day.

The problem with hs is that having fun is expensive since all the "fun" cards are legendaries or epics and require decks built around them, "fun" decks get smashed by meta decks, there are 3 formats to play (std, wild, arena).
AT LEAST with new accounts we'll get the "new player experience" the whole game is designed around

I might keep botting on new account and possibly extending license, but only when main admin says that they fixed "detectiability" of the bot (idk, by dynamically changing bot process name, but that might as well not be the case, since Blizzard could have made their detection algorythms better over time). I'm asking for that, because starting botting again, and getting on their to-ban-in-1-year black list, will be pointless.

But man, that feels bad I lost my all progress I got through over 1 year of botting. Come to think about it, it will take ONLY 1 year to get the progress back, but still, all adventures I had before botting went to shit, as well as most of wild cards I had that I will not get back (unless crafting them) + hero portraits and cardbacks 😢

A few examples:

Counterstrike was my life for ~6 years. I was cal-i for about 2 years, practiced 40h/week outside of school. Had a blast with local & national tournaments.
But eventually, I decided to pursue goals in the real world, and haven't looked back for over a decade.

Created my own scripts and bot for FFBE when it first came out. Had a blast learning how to code. But found it required too much time coding to have a top-tier account without being a whale.
While sitting in a hotel room in Japan with my Mrs. and doing a raid run at 2am on the toilet... I realized it was time to quit.

Which brings me to HR.

Absolutely love it :)

HS is a casual game.

Play for fun.
It's a nice break between Pomodoros.

Since I'm not coding the thing, it literally takes none of my time to improve my collection.

Turn on the bot before bed, turn it off in the morning (if it doesn't auto-complete everything before I wake up).
Play when time allows.

Lose my collection?
No big deal. It didn't cost me anything in the first place.

For the first time, I have a "healthy" relationships with gaming...
Because the bot is doing the grinding with no involvement from me (as it should be!)

I still have MTG days - cubing with friends in person (from a pool of ~1,000 "one-of" cards to draft decks... infinite replay-ability with no further investment)

And correspondence chess (chess will never go out of style - and grows with you).

So for what it's worth...


1. If it's fun - keep at it.
2. If it's taking more from your life than it's adding to it - STOP.


Easier said than done, I know.

But real-world rewards are generally more rewarding than digital ones -- even if they're more time, effort and RNG intensive :)
