we all know that the bot is a lot slower so i did some comparisons

i exported the match history , number of turns etc.
over a sample size of 50 games most recent games, compared to a random period i pooled that happened to be 2 months ago,
on average each game is is about 50% longer. (length / turns)

that means the bot got twice as slow assuming the opponent still played at the same speed.
thats pretty disturbing.

I'm sure some of this can be chalked up to a larger database of cards and additional mechanics, no?

I think all it proves is that the meta has slowed down. Speed of the bot would be mostly measured by the duration of your own turns, not the number of turns.

sepe did you not read what i wrote? the comparison took turns into account. no a larger database doesnt matter because it just reads whats on the board and in your hand. additional mechanics like what? discover? 2 months ago there was already discover mechanic.

I have also noticed bot speed drop, starting turn seems to wait 10-20 seconds before making a move and sometimes doesn't, there are quite a few different bugs on the current release, hopefully more people report them so the makers can figure out a fix.

You specifically mention the number of turns, then you say the games are longer, and then you have an ambiguous "(length / turns)" which can be interpreted many ways. Are you trying to say that there are more turns and that each turn lasts longer? Did you limit it to your own turns?

didnt know i was supposed to write a research paper on the subject but ok. what i wanted to point out to you is that a slower meta might increase the number of turns per game but it doesnt change the results of the comparisons so that whole meta point didnt make sense thus i wondered if you read what i wrote. didnt know i had to backtrack and point out the logical thought process but if u couldnt even tell what i was disagreeing with your statement, im not gonna question where you went to school

Yeah he seems to be the only one who doesn't get it, hopefully the new patch fixes it. ^_^

Oh the slow is still around in this patch i've tabbed over to it waiting after playing a minion and can't cast anything else but its just waiting.
Half the gold i normally get today, ouch.
