Personally I was boting about 14 hours a day past 2 weeks and still not banned. I never used any other bot programs other then HearthRanger.

Haven't been banned from hearthstone, but I have been using the bot since its early beta (Started using the bot july 2nd, 2014) and I haven't ran into any problems with blizzard. Think the most you could do probably is not bot 24/7. Only other thing I can think of is get a proxy or something so your IP changes, but I doubt that would help the "MY ACCOUNT WAS HACKED IT WASNT ME BLIZZARD" plea that you saw alot of people do in WoW lol. Sorry I can't be much more help then saying don't bot 24/7 haha.
